The house was designed and constructed by Jack Viks between 1961-64 as the architect's personal residence.
Viks was a student of the legendary architect Mies van der Rohe who taught the mantra "less is more." The 3,000-square-foot house is such a great example of a minimalist glass house. Viks’ house draws on the beautifully spare engineering of Mies van der Rohe’s famous glass-walled Farnsworth House.
The house was used as a backdrop for a 1960s-themed NBC TV show ‘The Playboy Club’ in 2011.
